Jennifer Crowder

Behavior Support Staff

Jennifer enjoys working with children of all ages and making positive differences in their lives. She has over 20 years of experiences working with children and in child development. Six of those years, Jennifer have worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders at several Special Education Centers in Prince Georges County. This is where she found her new passion and the desire to work with children with special needs. Jennifer later left the school system to open a daycare that she operated from her home for 13 years. Her daycare included both children with and without special needs. To better assist children that were in her care, she thought it would be best to further her education.

Jennifer obtained her Associate Degree in Early Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, concentration Child Development. She was very excited to return to the Special Education field to apply principles she learned in the classroom, in real-life settings. Jennifer said “Going back to school helped her to refine her critical thinking, analytical skills within the world of Child Psychology and learn to better work with various types of children”.

Jennifer joined the staff of Breakthrough Developmental Services in October 2017. To make an appointment with Jennifer, click here!
